Margie “Marge” Brady, passed away on June 12, 2021 at age 88. Marge was born in Leachville, AR on October 5, 1932, the 9th of 10 children to Howard and Julia Brooks. After growing up on the family farm with three brothers and six sisters, in Marge’s words “A wonderful family,” she moved to Wichita, KS in 1953 where she met her husband of 57 years, Donald “Don” Brady. Marge was a member of East Point Church of Christ. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and enjoyed volunteering, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and eight of her siblings. Survivors include her children: Michael “Mike” Brady of Wichita, Michele (Rick) Royal of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Davis, Justin Brady, Jacob (Caitlin) Royal, Luke (Haley) Royal, Bart (Shalin) Royal, Gabrielle (Ryan) Nightingale; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Cole, Jayli, Aiden, Colby, Madison, Kasey; one sibling, Larry (Joy) Brooks. Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00pm, with family greeting from 6:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, June 15, 2021; Funeral at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, both at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. The family would like to thank Regent Park and Harry Hynes Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they provided. Marge requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202.

  3. Dear Mike and Michelle, I just learned of your mother’s passing. Tim saw the obituary today and immediately let me know. I have such wonderful memories, both of your parents and of you, and of our time growing up together. I know we have not talked often over the decades since that time, but both of you, along with your parents and kids, have a special place in my heart. My prayers are with you and all of your kids.
