Marilyn B. (Vestring) Hein

Marilyn B. (Vestring) Hein, 69, passed to the embrace of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Rosary, 7 PM, Monday, October 26; Funeral Mass, 10 AM, Tuesday, October 27, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Born the third child to Vincent and Cleora Vestring, Marilyn grew up on a farm near Burns, Kansas. Her father always said the third calf was best. She rose to the challenge through her active prayer life, raising 6 children, being a fantastic grandmother, devoting time to church and community service and finding time to author a trademarked series of math tutorials, Math Phonics. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Hein of Wichita; children, Gretchen Bolander (Troy) of Joplin, MO, Adam Hein (Renee) of Wichita, Sarah Hein (Bernie Mack) of Midlothian, IL, Robert Hein (Susan) of Argyle, TX, Nickolas Hein (Jeanette) of Kearney, NE, and Jennifer Williams (Mitch) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Clair, Natalie, Audrey, Michael, Roman, Rachael, and Henry Hein, Olivia and Lola Mack; siblings, J.C. Vestring of Wichita, Vicki Weldon of Wichita, and Bernie Vestring of Whitewater, KS. Memorials established with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, 853 N.
