Marilyn J. (Stockemer) Kerschen

Marilyn J. (Stockemer) Kerschen, 82, went to her eternal rest on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Her husband of 56 years, Al Kerschen, preceded her in death on February 27, 2014. Marilyn was born on a farm in St. Mark’s (Colwich), KS, on November 17, 1938. She graduated from Andale High School in 1956 and was the former owner of Data Services of Kansas, Inc. Rosary, 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28; Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 29, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Survivors: sons, Mark (Pam) Kerschen of Hutchinson, Alan (Anita) Kerschen of Hemet, CA; daughters, Joan (Greg) Ast of Westminster, CO, Diane (Bobby) Zelmer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brothers, Leroy Stockemer of Hutchinson, Dennis (Joan) Stockemer of Wichita, Don Stockemer of St. Mark’s; grandchildren, Brandon and Janelle Ast, Ashley Clark, Shane, Shawn, and Kevin Kerschen, Kayla Goff, Krista Torres and Heather Carbajo; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends and godchildren. In addition to her husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Bernetta (Orth) Stockemer; sons, Keith and Kelly Kerschen; daughter, Pamela Kerschen; grandchildren, James, Joseph, and Michelle Ast and Amber Avila; sisters, Virginia Stockemer and Carol Lies.
