Marjory M. Burchfiel

Marjory M. Burchfiel, 81, Marjory M. (Moeder) Burchfiel was born in La Crosse, Kansas on April 5, 1937 and passed away on May 27, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo Moeder, Edward and Esther (Herrman) Boxler. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert E. Burchfiel; sister, Mildred DeKeyser; daughters, Debbie M. (Joe) Schauf, Renee D. (Jim) Selenke, and Dawn M. (Jim) Poggi; sons, Terrence L. (Mary) Huelskamp and Dr. Patrick (Jen) Burchfiel; step-son, Tom Burchfiel; granddaughters, Michelle (Dennis) Albertin, Mandee Schauf, Emily (Kyle) Taylor, Ashley (J. D.) Johnson, Jill (Andy) Prilliman, Sarah (Chris) Lohf, Meg (Zach) Winter, and Riley Poggi; grandsons, A. J. Selenke, Leo (Katie) Huelskamp, Connor Poggi, Logan Burchfiel, Brody Burchfiel, and Carson Poggi; and seven great-grandchildren. Marge grew up in Garden City, Kansas and worked for 27 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone in Dodge City, Newton and Wichita before retiring December 30, 1991. Marge was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time traveling with family and friends. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Magdalen.
