Mark Leonard Mainzer

Mark Leonard Mainzer, age 66, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away from a traumatic brain injury on July 7, 2025. Mark grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and was a graduate of Wichita State University. In 1992, he married Jeannie Patterson and they raised four beautiful children. Mark possessed an extraordinary work ethic and was employed as a Branch Manager at Linde Gas and Welding. He showed exemplary leadership qualities and was respected and admired by his co-workers.

 

Mark possessed a deep Catholic faith and applied that in every aspect of his life. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, grilling, playing golf, and watching his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. But most importantly, he enjoyed making memories with his family.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard, his mother, Shirley, and his brother, Tom. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie, his children Alyssa (Nick), and granddaughter Quinn; Brenna (Neal), Collin, and Danielle. He is survived by his brother, Fr. James Mainzer, sisters, Linda, Cindy (Paul), and brothers, David (Jolene), and Mike (Karen).

 

Rosary will be at 7:30 pm, Friday, July 11, 2025; Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am, Saturday, July 12, 2025, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

 

A Memorial has been established at Kansans for Life, 7016 W. Harry St., Wichita KS. 67209.

  4. Mark was a high school classmate. Even though I did not know Mark very well all of us knew who he was. He always had a smile on his face and always said hello. Mark will be missed by the Class of 1977. May he rest in peace.

    I knew Mark through work at Linde. We only met in person once or twice, but shared numerous phone calls and emails. He was always kind, respectful, thorough, and just a great guy to work with. He will be missed.
