Marvin L. "Jack" Williams

Marvin “Jack” L. Williams, 95, school administrator, died Wed., Sept. 13, 2017. Service, 11 a.m., Sat., Sept. 23, Downing & Lahey West. Jack attended HS at Capitol Hill in Oklahoma City, where he played football and baseball. When WWII started, he flew Navy combat B-24s in the South Pacific. After the war, Jack attended NW State University studying to be a teacher and playing collegiate sports. After graduating, he enjoyed a long career in teaching, coaching, and administration. Throughout life, Jack was always most happy when around family, friends or playing golf. Preceded by parents, Marvin and Gladys; wife, Una “Polly” Pauline Williams. Survivors: children, Polly (Kevin) Welsh, Jeffrey Williams and Becky (Roland) Whitaker; grandchildren, Melissa (Toby) Mantz, Justin Williams, Ryan (Maureen) Welsh, Jack (Jill) Welsh, Andy Rickard, Willie (Tonya) Rickard; 13 great-grandchildren.
