Stang, Marvin, 79, Missouri Pacific Railroad carman, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Rosary, 7 p.m., Monday, April 9, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Jo; son, James; daughter, Sandra; grandchild, Jeremiah. Survivors: children, Donna Allison (Scott), Ron Stang (Sharon), Elizabeth “Bette” Luinstra (Lee), Ernie Stang, Cathy Lemon (Russell) all of Wichita; 24 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Memorial established with the St. Katherine Drexel Fund, 424 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202. Rosary, 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 9, Downing Lahey Mortuary West

  2. I met Marvin and Mary Jo when I lived in Wichita.We played cards at the Eagles and I always thought Marvin and Mary Jo were kind, and loving toward all. I really liked both of them. I am praying for the family left behind to mourn.

  3. my prayers and heart is with you all it has been a very tough 2 years. will never forget all the smiles we have had and all the tears we have shared marvin will be truely missed . but he is with so many that also love him. and we are blessed to have so many angel stars watching over all of us. until we laugh again, R.I.P.
