Mary Ann Mercer

Mercer, Mary Ann, 87, beloved sister of Doris Steg, died Monday, April 6, 2015. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Reformation Lutheran Church. She graduated from Emporia State College and spent much time volunteering and doing charitable work. Preceded in death by her parents, E.R. and Ida Steg; sisters, Nora Steg, Dr. Ilse Steg; brothers, Dr. Olaf Steg, Victor Steg, Dr. Paul Steg. Survived by her husband, John Mercer; son, David W. Mercer; daughter, Jane (Stewart) Whitham of Leoti, KS; sister, Doris Steg of Wichita; grandchildren, Nicole, Anna, Stewart, Jr., Ashley; sister-in-law, Barbara Mitchell Steg of Plainfield, IL; niece, Lise Steg Thorsby of Darien, IL; nephews, Eric Steg of Gainesville, FL, John Steg, M.D., of McLean, VA, Thomas Steg, DDS of Omaha, NE, James Steg, M.D. of Vienna, VA, Robert Steg, M.D. of Omaha, NE.
