Mary Benham, 91, retired secretary for Wichita Police Laboratory, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022. She was meticulous in life and loving and faithful to God. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her devoted husband of 66 years, Tim Benham; parents, Vito and Concetta DiSante; sisters, Anne (Bob) Binter, Helen (Joe) Murphy, Julia (Sam) Wagle; brother, John DiSante; sister-in-law, Aggie DiSante. Survived by her daughters, Cathleen (Don) Dowell, Suzanne (Bruce) Reischmann all of Wichita, KS; Son, Vincent Benham of Albuquerque, NM; 8 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Doris DiSante; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials have been established with: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 132 S. Millwood, Wichita, KS 67213, and Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 3550 N. 167th St. W., Colwich, KS 67030 Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

I’m so sad and sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She and Tim were always so good to my brother, Brady, and me as was Vincent and the twins. I wish everyone my best as we all remember Mary and her beautiful soul.
