Mary Ella Waldrip

Waldrip, Mary Ella (Bosley), entered eternal rest in the early evening of June 2, 2013. Mary resided at the Georgetown retirement center in Wichita, KS. Rosary will be at 5 P.M., Tues., June 4, 2013; Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M., Wed., June 5, 2013, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mary was born April 25, 1926 in Leon, Kansas. Mary graduated from Wichita North High School, and then Wichita preparatory college. Mary was married to the love of her life, Floyd W. Waldrip for 59 years. Mary was a certified dental assistant for Dr. Wesley Park and Dr. William Park for 35 years. Mary was appointed by the Kansas State Insurance Commissioner to the Board of Directors of the Kansas Delta Dental Insurance Company where she served for 6 years. Mary was employed by the Boeing company for 11 years in the project planning and the quality assurance department. Mary retired December 1988. Preceded in death by her parents, Rachel Ray Bosley; her husband, Floyd W Waldrip; her sister, Pauline Plush. Survivors are her two children, Garrick “Garry” (Darla) Waldrip and Carolyn (John) LeBosquet. Affectionately known as Mammo by her three grandchildren, Brian Cheever, Stephanie and Ryan Waldrip, and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Brynley Cheever. Brother, Delbert (Virginia) Waldrip of Wichita. Mary will be remembered for her strength and determination in life and belief in education.
