Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I have fond memories of Mary Mae in the choir at 1st U.P./6th Ave and as my Kindergarten SS teacher. She was always so cheerful and kind and gave wonderful flannelgraph Bible stories. In her Kindergarten SS Class one Sunday at the height of hayfever season I sneezed an explosive sneeze with no tissue to catch it. The other children looked askance. I was mortified. Mary Mae didn’t miss a beat in her story and rescued me with a tissue and a smile. She made the biggest embarrassment of my 5-year life seem as nothing. As the saying goes, ‘Little things mean a lot.’ I am so glad she was a part of my life.
