Mom was also a big University of Kansas Jayhawks fan, and especially enjoyed cheering on the KU men’s basketball team, rarely missing a game on TV. She collected salt-and-pepper shakers and bird figurines. She was very artistic and it was expressed in many gifts to others over the years such as macrame, painted ceramic pieces and other items. Mom was known for her quick wit, and she was a little ornery like our Dad, Alan.
