Mary Y. Underwood, 82, Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Thursday, December 16, 2021. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 20, 2021, at Countryside Christian Church. Preceded in death by her father, Lester Miller; mother, Stella Spillman; brother, Don Miller; sisters, Lorene McCollum, Nada Guffey. Survived by her husband, Denmon Underwood; daughters, Shelley (Robert) Claassen, both of Andover, Cathy Eilert of Derby; son, Michael (Vonda) Underwood of Rose Hill; sister, Letha Spillman of Kincaid, KS; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with: Interim Hospice, 9920 E. Harry St., Wichita, KS 67207. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
