Marybelle Bowman

Bowman, Marybelle, 93, retired secretary, died Monday, June 18, 2007. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, KS, in her husbands family gravesite. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. Bowman. She is survived by her adopted family of Hazen Dool and his son, Bob Dool of Wichita and by several cousins in other states. Mrs. Bowman graduated from high school in Lawrence, KS and attended the University of Kansas for two years. Her secretarial career included both the private sector in law offices and a utility company, and the public sector, including the Kansas League of Municipalities, the Veterans Administration, and the Internal Revenue Service. Mrs. Bowman was an avid reader and wrote several articles published in the Kansas Historical Quarterly. She was a Congregationalist her entire life.
