Hyder, Matthew “Matt” Patrick, 28, assistant manager at Sugar Sisters Bakery, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010. Rosary, 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 25 with Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Survivors: father, Jace Hyder (Tammy) of Andover; mother, Beth Hyder of Wichita; brothers, Aaron Hyder (Erin) of Durango, CO and Jeff Hyder of Manhattan, KS; sisters, Amy Michael (Jimmy) of Concord, CA and Perri Rothweiler of Colorado Springs, CO; half-brother, Jace Hyder and half-sister, Camden Hyder, both of Andover; girlfriend, Kelli Sykes of Wichita; grandparents, J.B. and Gwen Sevart of Wichita and Natalou Hyder of Bloomfield, NM; uncles, Don Hyder (Pam) of Farmington, NM, Mark Sevart (Chris) of Wichita, and Kevin Sevart of Wichita; aunts, Leslie Hyder, of Galveston, TX, Carol Grisamore (David), Michelle Reed, Linda Smoll (Martin), all of Wichita, Marilyn Berry (Tim) of Mulvane and Jennifer Long (Jeff) of Wichita; niece, Emma Hyder; God-child, Levi Dewey, and many cousins. Preceded in death by grandfather, Don Hyder, Sr. A memorial has been established with Sedgwick County Zoo, Reptile Exhibit, 5555 Zoo Blvd., Wichita, KS 67212 and Valley Hope Association Foundation, Moundridge Project, P.O. Matt, You will always be remembered as a great kid to me, my sister Adele, & Drew. Thank you for taking us out jet skiing for my very first time. May God and his angels watch over you while you jet ski in heaven.
Jace and families: My wife and I are truly saddened over your loss of Matt. We cannot imagine how difficult it is to cope with the loss of a child, especially so suddenly. Dr. Hyder, I learned of your son’s passing via the Eagle. I do not know any of your family, and am just one of your patients. However, I’d still like to offer my condolences. We lost my big sister this Oct. I know it’s a tough time. Hope you and your family are getting along OK.

To Beth and family, I just learned this morning of your loss when I was at BSF. Please know how very sorry I am and that I am keeping you in my prayers. I can not imagine the grief you are going through, I am so sad for you. Please call me if I can do anything for you or just to talk.
Jace,Tammy and Family…. Larry and I are so deeply sadden about you losing Matt. I can’t imagine how devestated your whole family is. There is a reason for eveything and a great plan for each of us, even though we may not understand it now. Have faith in God.
