Dear Bill, It is with great sorrow we learn of Maureen’s passing. I know her determination allowed you extra precious time together . Now…losing such a beautiful soulmate must be very difficult. She shared with me her concern about how you would cope after she was gone. Oh, how you were loved and appreciated. Her ongoing strength as she fought the cancer and her concern with Glen’s well being will remain in my mind. Glen and I feel a real loss and want you to know our lives have been impacted by knowing you & Maureen. God bless and keep you and may you find comfort in knowing how very much you were loved. Maureen was an amazing aunt who always made others around her feel happy and energized! She was one of the best at expressing her appreciation and love for family and friends. She had a joy for life and often shared that with my kids. When my son and daughter were young, she would beg my wife and me to babysit them whenever possible…and always arrived with Jell-o “Jigglers” to treat the kids. By the end of the babysitting gig, she was always worn out because she played with them the entire time. My family and I will miss Maureen so much. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill, Mike, Kris, and the entire family. Maureen will be sorely missed. Love Casey, Amy, Quinn & Maggie McCarthy
Maureen was the most loving aunt! Every time I saw her, she seemed to burst with joy. It is hard to imagine that much gladness can be packed into such a petite lady! Whenever my wife and I would load up our kids and drive from Fort Worth, TX to visit our family in Kansas City, we would plan a stop in Wichita to see Bill and Maureen. It was always a highlight of our trip. They made us feel like royalty. Maureen would hang on our every word, delight in every crazy sound coming out of our kids, and be completely captured in our conversation. She just loved us so well. She loved everyone so well. I’m glad she’s home now… but I already miss her deeply. I love you Maureen! Our heart goes out to Bill, Mike, Kris and the family. May you feel the comfort of God’s presence. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18 Love Ryan, Brandi, Lincoln, Charlie, and Lucy McCarthy
