Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Colette, David, et al, I can hear Saddie playing and Max singing, now! I’m sorry for your loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

  2. Father Kocour: I was sorry to hear of your brother Max’s death. I remember meeting him when we made the Newman Club trip to Chicago. Hope you are well. I guess you are back in Wichita for good. God Bless.

  3. To Father Robert Kocour: Not sure my original message went, so I’m trying again!! Very sorry to hear about the death of your brother, Max. Judging from the obituary, he was a very interesting and worthwhile gentleman. Will keep him in our prayers, as well as you and all your family. Hope you are well. Remember our days at the Pittsburg State Newman Club with a great deal of nostalgia. Those were halcyon days! Take care, and, if you get the chance, come and see us sometime. Your loyal ‘engineer’, James A Manning, 45 Sandpiper Rd, Enfield, CT 06082

  4. My condolences to the Kocour family. I met your father only once, but we talked on the phone often in the last few months. I admire the true love he felt for his wife, and his devotion to keeping her memory alive. He had fond feelings of WSU, too. A great storyteller!

  5. Although Max moved out of Kenilworth a number of years ago, he and Heloise were always in our thoughts and prayers. He was an outstanding example of a family man and will be missed by the Vitale family who extend their deepest sympathy to the Kocours.

  6. My condolences to all the Kocour family. I will miss my favorite ‘riddler’. For those of you who don’t know, for several years when I was young, Max (my parents close friend) and I exchanged riddles through the mail regularly with mine sent under the pseudonym ‘Roxie the Riddler’. This was great fun for me! Lots of fond memories of fun times with the Kocours in Winnetka and Kenilworth. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
