Max Joseph Tad Pennington

Max Joseph “Tad” Pennington, age 77, was born in Neosho, MO on April 15, 1941 to the late Max and Josephine Pennington. Max passed away on January 18, 2019. Max was a graduate of North High School in Wichita. He was a retired Teamster and worked for the Keebler Corporation for 30 years. He was an avid sports fan and always had a radio and multiple TVs turned on to catch simultaneous sporting events. He loved golf and bowling and was the 4-time club champion at Braeburn Golf Club. Max was also an active member of the Midian Shrine Temple and a member of the Arab Patrol. Max found love late in life and married Deanna Hulse. They were married 22 years and enjoyed spending time with family and traveled extensively. He was a devoted son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, uncle, and he will be forever missed. Max was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deanna; and niece, Suanne (Pennington) Devlin. Max is survived by his brothers, Terry Pennington of Wichita, Scott (Sherry) Pennington of Joplin, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 10:30 am, with Funeral Service at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, 6555 E. Central, Wichita, KS. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202.
