Maxine Lucille Frobish, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, she was 88 years old. Mrs. Frobish was born in Scenic, South Dakota on August 21, 1927 to Mr. Henry and Jessie Archer. She attended schools in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from High School in 1944. She married Robert L. Frobish in Sioux City, Iowa on November 5, 1944. She lived in Joliet, Illinois while her husband was overseas and worked in a defense plant. After the war they moved to Boulder, Colorado where her husband attended the University of Colorado. They moved to Topeka, Kansas in1949. She began work at Capital Federal Savings in 1962 and worked as a teller and savings officer for 30 years. Mrs. Frobish has four sons who survive her, Robert Jr., (Cindy) of Boulder Creek, CA, Dennis (Marilyn), of Jacksonville, FL, Jon (Ulla), of Andover, KS, Kent (Susan), of Lincoln, NE; a brother, Vincent Archer, of Ft. Collins, CO; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Frobish was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon and Session member. She also served as a treasurer for the Westminster Presbyterian Women. She was a volunteer at Stormont Vail Hospital, and Lets Help and Doorstep. A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. A memorial has been established with Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1275 Boswell St., Topeka, KS 66604.
