McNew, Bernice M., 94, homemaker, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Bernice was born on a farm in rural Wichita on July 7, 1915 to Carl and Carrie (Korber) Brandner. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Gerald McNew; brother, Melvin Brandner and sister, Mary Brandner. Survivors are daughter, Glenda; brother, Wayne Brandner and sister, Verla Tennyson. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 26, at Meridian Avenue Baptist Church, 200 Meridian. Burial will follow at Kechi Cemetery. A memorial has been established with Meridian Avenue Baptist Church, 200 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS, 67203. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
Burial will follow at Kechi Cemetery.

I am so sorry Glenda for the loss of your mother. I loved Aunt Bernice and her wonderful smile and sweet laugh. We will all miss her. She was the type of woman that I proudly told my friends about, because she was so active, energetic and kept so busy throughout her life.
