Megan Joan Luke

Megan Joan Luke, 42, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, December 25, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Megan’s light began to shine on December 7, 1983. Born into a large close-knit family that embraces life with love and laughter. Megan carried these family values throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. After college, she worked at Wesley Rehab Hospital and then at Encompass Health; later moving into a role at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, enabling her to spend more time with her husband and daughter. Although her passions were many, they were all rooted in family, faith, and fun. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, movies, cooking, spending time with family and helping others. Living her life with love and joy, she gave of herself generously in so many ways. All who met her were captivated by her laugh and beautiful smile. She was a gift from God and will be deeply missed by all.

Megan is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Lottie Kuchinskas, Sam and Alma Gegen and niece, Haley Thurman. She is survived by her husband, Dan Luke; daughter, Eva Luke; parents, George and Deb Kuchinskas; brothers, Brandon (Samantha) Kuchinskas, Alex (Hyeonhee) Kuchinskas; sister, Jenny (Travis) Thurman; nieces, Lana and Leah Thurman; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 North 119th Street West, Wichita, Kansas, 67235.

Viewing will be from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 1, 2026, and 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2026, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West Chapel. In celebration of her life, a Rosary will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 3, 2026, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 North 119th Street West, Wichita, Kansas. Thereafter, interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 North Maize Road, Wichita, Kansas.
