Michael E. Brace

Michael E. Brace, 69, died on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Michael is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Nagel); daughters, Allison Bush, Sara (Shane) Batchelder, Erika (Mike) Harris, Brandi (Jon) Thorne, all of Wichita, and Holli (Chad) Davis of Derby; sisters, Judy (Gary) Miller of Udall and Charlotte (Warren) Scott of Scammon, KS; brothers, Roger Brooks and Randy Brooks of Tulsa, OK, and Aaron (Gaye) Phillips of Baxter Springs, KS; and 16 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Earl and Juanita Brace; and birth parents, Jan (Charlie) Phillips and Robert (Wretha) Brooks. Michaels life insurance career spanned more than 40 years beginning with New York Life, and later independently owned Premier Financial Group. Michael acquired a real estate license selling with his wife for J.P. Weigand & Sons. He was one of the founding board members of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Kansas, and a member of Wichita Association of Life Underwriters. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 P.M., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Services will be at 1:00 on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Derby, KS. Memorials established with: Home Health of Kansas, 7607 E.
