Michael G. Olson

Michael G. Olson, age 76 passed on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was born on May 27, 1947 to Charles A. and Clara Olson in Hutchinson, KS. Mike attended St Teresa High School, Hutchinson and graduated in 1965. He graduated from Wichita State University. Mike married Faye Schlatter, the love of his life, on December 28, 1968. They recently celebrated 55 wonderful years of marriage. In 1969 Mike began his long career in accounting, distribution and global supply chain in Heating and Air Conditioning at Coleman, which became Evcon, then York, and ultimately Johnson Controls. After 44 years Mike retired in 2013.Mike is preceded in death by daughter, Stephanie; and his parents.He is survived by his wife, Faye; son, Steve (Dawn); grandchildren, Brittany (Mike's favorite first granddaughter), Brenden (Mike's favorite grandson) and Briana (Mike's favorite youngest granddaughter). Mike is also survived by his 'older' sisters, Judy Santiago and Andee Farrell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his aunt, Donna Swanson (all of whom were his favorite).Rosary will be at 6:00 pm, Friday, April 12, 2024; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 13, 2024, both at St. Paul University Parish at Wichita State University. Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul University Parish, 1810 N.
