Michael J. Little

Michael J. Little, age 70, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015. Michael was a retired Boeing employee and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Alfreda Doll Little, and his brother Roscoe. Michael worked at Boeing for 17 years and lived in Wichita all of his life. He graduated in 1965 from Wichita East High School, and pursued a degree in Art at Wichita State University. He had a daughter, Kalli Little Sanders from his first marriage. Michael married his wife Barbara on October 11, 1980, and they recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Mike loved spending time with his family and with Barbaras family, together they often visited son David Helmke and his wife Kathy in Dallas. Mike enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren Casey and Cory Hoskins and Taylor Helmke. Mike and Barbara enjoyed time with brother-in-law Bob Mansfield and wife Daria, and brother-in-law Richard Mansfield and wife Laura. He had a special relationship with his nephews Ricky and Ben and their families as well. Mike loved to spend time with his best friends Johnny and Kenny attending vintage car showshe was particularly proud of his 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. Michael was loved by many, he and Barbara have been surrounded by many family and friends, including many who they attended country & western dances with. He loved kids, was quite proud of all of his grandchildren, including his grandaughter, Grace Eileen Sanders. One of the last things Michael said to his loved ones was "It just goes so fast." Michael lived his life with as much fun and love as he could, and was blessed to have his wife and daughter by his side in his final hours. He will be missed by many, and all of our lives were made better for having known him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Headquarters Counseling Center, P.O.
