Michael Orland Hyde

Michael Hyde January 15, 1963 - May 27, 2018 PRETTY PRAIRIE, KANSAS - Michael Orland Hyde, 55, died Sunday, May, 27 2018 in Sedgwick County. He was born January 15, 1963 in Pampa, Texas, to Woodrow “Woody” and Tawanna (Dykes) Hyde. He graduated from Ulysses High School in 1981. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and honorably served as a cavalry scout. After separating from active duty military service, Michael pursued a career as an electrical contractor where he earned a master electricians certification. He married Amalia Trevino on October 21, 1983, in Clayton, New Mexico. They separated in June 2001. He married Mary Poole in 2004 in Wichita, Kansas, and she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Tawanna Sinclair; his children, Elijah Hyde, Alexandria Stroud (Hyde) and Carl Appelman; daughters-in-law, Sidney Hyde and Hayley Appelman, and grandchildren, Areya, Oliver and Theo. The funeral will take place at 1p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Goddard, Kansas, with Minister Clint Bradfield officiating.
