Mike E. Anderson, 54, of Wichita, Kansas passed away September 19th, 2024, surrounded by family. Born in Lawrence, Kansas, he graduated from Lawrence High School. He attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science. Upon graduation, he moved to Wichita and began working with Eby Construction where he spent his entire career. Shortly after moving to Wichita, Mike met his future wife, Lynn (Kellogg). Mike grew in his family and faith during his years with Lynn. He supported his daughters’ activities whether attending athletic events or teacher conferences. He served as Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 10483 and was active in his church and community. Mike enjoyed golf, hunting, and family gatherings. He loved building things, whether it was his projects at work, around the house, or helping out others. His passion for Kansas State athletics allowed for many Saturdays in Manhattan and travel to bowl games throughout the country. Mike is survived by his wife Lynn; daughters, Carly (fiancée, Tyce Jerby) and Mackenzie; mother, Alice Newell (Crumet) (husband, Virgil); father, Gary Anderson (wife, Marilyn); brothers, Kent Anderson (wife, Wendee) and Dusty Newell (wife, Stephanie); father in-law, Jack Kellogg; sister-in-law, Kim Kellogg; brother-in-law, Matt Kellogg (wife, Valerie); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosary will be Thursday, September 26th at 7:00 pm with Funeral Mass on Friday, September 27th, 2024, at 10:00 am, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N 119th St West, Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Victory In The Valley 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218, Sedgwick County Zoo 5555 W. Zoo Blvd., Wichita, KS 67212, and Knights of Columbus Council #10483, c/o St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 645 N. 119th St. W., Wichita, KS 67235.   1. Eby Construction Company was the contractor for the restoration of the McPherson Opera House where I was director. Mike was a fine man and so easy to work with. I’ll remember him with a Rosary.
