Monroe, Mildred, 97, retired health clerk for Haysville schools, died Thursday, February 26, 2009. Service 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 3, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by husband, Winston Monroe. Survivors: sons, Tom Monroe (Sandra) of Colorado Springs, CO and Steve Monroe of Branson, MO; grandchildren, Tina Sokolowski, Lisa Reeves, Laura Bullock and Dustin Monroe; great-grandchildren, Derek, Clinton, Matthew, Lindsey, Sean and Liana. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to your church of favorite charity.

We are so sorry to hear of Mildred’s death. We have known and worked with Mildred and Winston since 1957. They were both dear friends of ours. Sorry we could not attend the service on Tuesday as we worked a local election in Haysville. Good luck to the family.
