Corcoran, Mildrede J. “Midge”, 86, retired registered nurse and Gragg Furs sales clerk, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Rosary 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 31, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Mass 9:30 A.M., Friday, June 1, St. Elizabeth Chapel, Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire. Preceded in death by her husband, Maurice W. Corcoran. Survivors: son, Dan and Renee Corcoran of Omaha, NE; daughter, Pat and Doug Herman of Andover, KS; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Catholic Care Center, 6700 E. 45th N., Bel Aire, KS, 67226 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202.

Patty and Dan and families, I have never done this online, but not knowing your addresses and wanting to pay my respects, have led me to this online tribute to your mother. Your mom was such a wonderful person. Those days and nights of camping and boating were the best part of my summers. Midge was always warm, friendly, funny, and she made me feel comfortable around the grownups! Besides, I always admired her skiing at her age. She was always a thoughtful and caring person. I know that my parents treasured both of your parents friendships. All of the boating group was indeed a special group.
