Braden, Muriel C., 91, homemaker, Passed away May 25, 2012. Private family service. Preceded in death by her husband Robert. Survivors son; Bruce Forest of San Francisco, CA, daughter; Roberta Braden of Olathe, KS, grandsons; Derek Powell of Los Angeles, CA, Justin Powell (Harumi) of Phoenix, AZ, and great-grand-children, Raven Holman, Luca and Yuto Powell. Memorials have been established with Botanica Gardens, 701 North Amidon Avenue Wichita, KS 67203 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 South Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

To Muriel’s family. I was very sorry to read of her passing. I had the honor of being Muriel’s mailcarrier for several years as she resided in Spring Acres. On occasion my children and I would catch fish for her ‘pond’ LOL. My kids always wanted to know why her swimming pool was a pond. Muriel would always kid me about my weight and give me diet pop during the year. then at Christmas she would load me down with a basket of goodies that definately were not dietetic. When I was moved to another route she gave me a beautiful wooden letter opener that I still use to this day. Muriel loved her flowers and botanica. She shared with me once that she wanted to help Botanica so that others could enjoy the beauty. I will always have fond memories of her kindness to me. God Bless
