Ferman, Myrtle Volz, 99, artist and poet, died Saturday, January 29, 2005. Rosary 9:30 A.M. and service following at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Myrtle wrote poetry her entire life and won many awards. She was an avid gardener. Myrtle married Harry E. Ferman, Sept. 29, 1929. He was the Wichita Beacon Editorial Artist at the time. He died in 1973. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Ferman. She is survived by son, David and Anita Ferman of Arlington, TX, and their children Dave, Kathy, and Mike; son, Nathan “Mike” and Margaret Ferman of Grandview, MO, and their son Christopher; daughter, Marilyn and Rodney Pierce of Colorado Springs, CO and their children Deborah, Patricia, and Kathryn; and daughter-in-law, Lida Ferman of Wichita and her son Erik, sister, Phyllis Colby of California, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild Rosary 9:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church
