Nancy was my piano teacher for many years. We shared many conversations about music and life and I always appreciated her directness and sense of humor. She taught me so much beyond music, I’m a better person for having known her. She will be missed.
Nancy was a dear friend and teacher. We met at WSU in her piano class in the mid 1980’s but our friendship continued all theses years. She spoke of her wonderful children and grandchlidren every time we got together.
Over the years we caught up in person when I visited my children in Kansas and we were honored to have her play piano at my eldest sons wedding in 2008.
We were kindred spirits in so many ways!! I will miss our calls and visits very much.

Our heartfelt condolences to the family whom we have heard about over the years we have known Mrs. Nancy Hampton. Our two daughters and myself took piano lessons from her for a long time and we became good friends later. We are so sorry that we didn’t find out about her passing until now. She was a wonderful teacher and a kind and caring person. The last time I called her she still sounded great and she was always thinking positively about life in general. We were out of the country for the last 3 weeks and got back yesterday to find the letter sent to us by the family. Very sad we couldn’t pay our last respects to her. May her soul Rest In Peace! 🙏❤️
