Neal Clifton Sanders, 75, died Sunday, August 5, 2018. After a lifelong courageous and tenacious quest to overcome physical limitations, angels are rejoicing as Neal Clifton Sanders is now freely running and walking the streets of Heaven with all pain and suffering gone. His mischievous grin, strong presence and Christian character will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. Born May 10, 1943 in Pine Bluff, AR, Neal graduated from Watson Chapel High School and attended Ouachita Baptist College (now University). Neals career took him away from his beloved state of Arkansas to work in real estate property tax assessment for various business entities in Houston, TX, Wilmington, NC, and Chicago, IL before winding up in Wichita. Neal retired in 2014. Neal was a steadfast Arkansas Razorback fan and an attendee at games as long as his health would allow. His knowledge of the Hogs over many decades was second to none. Neal was the basis for many family reunions in Fayetteville, AR when he called us together to enjoy family fellowship and attend Arkansas football games. During his life time here amongst his earthly family, he was a husband, a father, a son, a brother and a nephew. Neal will be greatly missed by his wife, Sandy Morrow Sanders; children, Matt Sanders and Lori Hattan; mother, Virginia Sanders of North Little Rock, AR; brother, Don Sanders (Darin) of Hot Springs, AR; sister, Nancy Dutton (Vernon) of Little Rock, AR; niece, Angela Looney (Jason) of Hot Springs, AR; and aunt, Dr. Margaret R. Downing of Waldo, AR. Neal was predeceased by his father, Carl W. Sanders of North Little Rock, AR. Neal was an active member of Metro East Baptist Church and the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class whose outpouring of love and support especially during the past year has been such a blessing to Neal and his family. A celebration of Neals life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Metro East Baptist Church located at 333 N. 143rd Street, E., Wichita, KS 67230. 1. Neal was a kind friend and one that will be missed. His laughter and smile was one of fun and, at times, ornery. His stories and reasoning were always one of amusement. Will always remember him for his love of the Razorbacks and Beaver Lake, Arkansas. I know through faith and Gods grace he is no longer held back by any physical limitations and enjoy walking in Heaven. May God comfort you all during this difficult period of your lives. May you all find the love and peace in the arms of our Lord. All of our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers go out to you all.

    In Gods love,
Dr. Shirley Sagerty, Bill Sagerty, Steve and Sandra Sagerty-Crenshaw, Carol and Danny Bubnick, Anna and Joseph Bubnick

  2. Neal has been a friend since the first grade. His mother served many times as our homeroom mother – she was so pretty and made the best candy. I remember how excited we were to see Neal when he returned to school after being at Arkansas Childrens Hospital for a period of time. He was quite handsome with that dark hair. To Neals family – may you find comfort in knowing Neal is free of all pain and he is in the presence of God, forever. Neal will be missed but he will not be forgotten.

  3. I had the pleasure of being able to work with Neal during his career in the real estate tax/appraisal field. I met him with Vickers and hired his firm to consult on many property tax matters. He was a knowledgeable professional of high integrity that always provided his best thinking. Truly enjoyed working with him and enjoyed him as a kind, soft spoken human being. My heart goes out to the family – a really good one has been lost but certainly is at his place in heaven.

  4. Very sorry to hear about Neal passing , My condolences go out to the family . Neal , a true Southerner will be missed .
