Neil Hamilton Sikes, Jr., 69, died peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Neil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was a 1974 Wichita Heights graduate and a retired Medical Sonographer, as well as a proud Army Veteran & a citizen of Cherokee Nation.
Preceded in death by his father, Neil Sikes; grandparents, Joseph and Pauline Sikes, James A. and Laura Scott.
Survived by his wife, Debbie (Olliff) Sikes; mother, Patricia “Pat” Sikes; son, Devin (Sheebani) Sikes of Houston, TX; stepdaughter, Kelsey (Taylor) McCann of Wichita; stepson, Max (Leslie Johns) McCann of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Bodhi Sikes and Silas Sikes of Houston, TX; sisters, Melody Sikes of Wichita, Cynthia Yorkin of Los Angeles, CA, Marla Sue (Scott) Propeck of Tucson, AZ; brother, Tad Sikes of Madisonville, LA.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
