“The time has come, the walrus said”, for us to celebrate almost 97 years and they were pretty great. I was born Norma Gene but Nonny was my name Gin, Bridge and Crosswords were always my game. Craig Allen was the first, The big brother he would be, Christy Anne soon to follow But, more fun in three? These two said, “OH NO” to a pair, Next thing you know… Here comes Cassandra Clair. Three kids in total, wow such a burst had I’d known how much fun a granddaughter would be, I would have had her first. With Don at her hand together making a band Keaton, Brecken and Croix brought me so much joy In 96 plus years I’ve seen some crazy times the depression, war and some mafia crimes. Wednesday was hair day My red hair divine eyelashes on point Then a drink of wine My advice to you try not to worry Covid, money, life it goes by in a hurry. Live each day to the fullest love with all your heart have faith in the lord to truly never part. Please no sadness, have faith I am home God is good, I will never be alone. Don’t be down in your HEARTY I sure had fun at your PARTY! Rosary will be at 9:30 am, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. A memorial has been established with HopeNet, 2501 E. Central Ave., Wichita, KS 67214. Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.

  1. We went thru three houses together. Always roses or plants. Every week for 40 years,we had together. I will miss our time together. We were a good team. Love you

  2. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Norma, and her self penned memorial speaks of a long and loving life well lived. A loving soul that will be dearly missed, and lovingly remembered. Godspeed Norma.

  3. I was Nonny’s tax advisor for many years and we had many great conversations. I will always remember her feisty attitude and her great love for her granddaughter. Love the poem, a very nice touch.
