Wolsey, Oscar R., 79, loving husband, dad and grandfather was born in Tucson, AZ October 21, 1927 and died January 13, 2007 to be with our Lord. Oscar served 23 years in the United States Air Force retiring December 1, 1974; served 16 years at the Veterans Administration retiring September 29, 1990; and his most honored position watching over his grandson, of which he served nine short years. Oscar is preceded in death by his father, Earl, and sister, Rosie Humphrey. Oscar is survived by his wife of 57 years Ofie; his mother, Kay (106), of San Antonio, TX; his daughters, Sandy Wolsey, Lori and her husband Damian Jensen; grandson Logan Jensen, all of Wichita; brother, David O. Wolsey, of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law Stella and her husband Frank Day, of Tucson, AZ; and brother-in-law, Johnny Humphrey, of TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary service will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 and funeral mass will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, Kansas, 67208. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Rosary Service 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church

  3. I was so sorry to hear of Oscar’s passing. I worked with Oscar for many years at the VA. Oscar always had a smile on his face, and he always talked so lovingly about his family. You are in my prayers.
