In Loving Memory of Pamela Gourley
Our dad, Larry, passed away eight years ago, leaving behind a love that never faded. Now, his best friend and the love of his life, Pamela Gourley, has joined him, passing peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. While our hearts ache with her absence, we find solace in knowing they are reunited-laughing, reminiscing, and pulling the handle of a slot machine together once more.
Born in Manhattan, KS, on April 8, 1952, Pam was a woman of unwavering love, quick wit, and undeniable strength. She embraced life’s simple joys-cheering passionately for the University of Kansas, testing her luck at the casino, feeling the warm sand beneath her feet on the beaches of Maui, and, most of all, cherishing every moment with her beloved grandkids, who were the light of her life. She adored her daughters just as much-especially when they kept her on her toes and gave her a run for her money!
Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless love, always filled with the aroma of homemade meals and the echoes of shared stories. Whether through her humor, her generosity, or the way she made everyone feel special, Pam left a mark on all who knew her.
She is survived by daughters, Amanda Tate, Alicia (Dayne) Bacon; brother, Rick (Autumn) Hansen; sister, Paula (Dale) Harvey; grandchildren, Mia Garcia, Chloe Tate, MacArthur Bacon. Though we grieve her loss, we take comfort in knowing her love endures, forever woven into the fabric of our lives.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Keith Gourley; parents, Loel and Colleen Hansen; sister, Deborah Lynne Farkas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105), a cause close to her heart.
Mom, you are deeply loved and will be missed beyond words. Rock Chalk forever.
