Pansy Jean Brown

Pansy Jean Brown, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed peacefully June 10, 2022. Pansy loved her church and Sunday school class, volunteering, gardening and cooking. Pansy was born September 5, 1925, to George and Letha Wasem in Patoka, Il. Pansy met the love of her life and best friend, Jim, in Carbondale, Il and they were married in Dodge City, KS in 1945. They were blessed with two wonderful children, who were the light of her life. Preceded in death by her husband, and daughter Jamie Menees. Survived by her loving son, Mark Brown, his wife, Marcy, grandchildren Nick Brown and Katy Hortonloup and great- granddaughter, Margot Jean Hortonloup. Pansy was loved and cared for by her neighbors. She was a woman of great faith and spent a lifetime of loving, helping, and giving. Pansy chose to continue to live at her home of fifty years until the end and was able to do so with loving, fun and caring people from Keifer Senior Care. Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
