Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I was deeply saddened to learn of Pat’s death. What a very sweet and wonderful person she was!! I have very fond memories of my junior high and high school days with Rev. Jon and Pat and their young family in Newton. The Jones’ truly set me on my spiritual journey and God is certainly the center of my family’s life today!! God bless you Rev. Jon, Taylor and Paige in this difficult time. My prayers are with you!!

  2. Jon, My thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family over the past few months. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember many youth retreats and ski trips our families spent with the youth of First Methodist Church in the 70’s.

  3. It has been over thirty years since experiencing Pat’s kindness and hospitality during the time Taylor and I were childhood friends in Newton, Kansas. It is with great sadness that I hear of this loss.

  4. Katie, Luther and family, I just read the sad news of Pat’s death. I am so sorry. It’s been a long time since we last saw each other, but you are often in my thoughts when the topic is ‘back in the day.’ The death of a sibling brings one’s own mortality too close. Hold on to all the good thoughts and memories and let go of all the rest.

  5. What a loss you are experiencing! Pat was so gracious and lovely! We’ll be remembering you in our thoughts and prayers as we give thanks for her life.

  6. We fondly remember Pat as a fine Christian lady and as a P.E.O. sister with a lot of love for everyone. We are sorry she had to suffer so much. We pray that God will be with Rev. Jon and the rest of the family.

  7. My thoughts & prayers to Rev. Jon & their family and Katie & Luther. I have some very special memories of ‘Trish’. I was a very good friend of her cousin Lavonda. My sympathy to you all.

  8. Jon, Janice and I are saddened by the loss of Pat. She was a joy to be around. Her christian spirit meant a great deal to us as she fullfilled her duties as a preacher’s wife at First Methodist. May the loving arms of Jesus embrace your family during this time of loss and sorrow and joy as she spends her time in eternity.
