Patricia Gillenwater

Gillenwater, Patricia, 85, retired High School Teacher, died Thursday, April 23, 2015. Visitation with the Family will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, April 27, 2015, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Viewing at Holy Cross Lutheran Church will be from 9:00-10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Service. Preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Drews. Survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifton; children, Jeffrey Gillenwater, David (Marsha) Gillenwater, Kathryn (Jeff) Speed; siblings, Dorothy Winchell, Reverend John Frey; grandchildren, Tyler, Zachery, Andrew, Alexis, James, and Blake; great-grandchild, Jackson. Patricia graduated from East High School and Wichita State University majoring in accounting and math. She was a member of the sorority Sorosis. She was also a district master bridge player. Patricia taught for 15 years at East High School and Southeast High School. She was also a braille worker for her church for 15 years.
