Patricia Walkup McCullough

January 31, 1945 ~ April 28, 2022
Patricia Walkup McCullough, 77, retired office manager, went home to be with our Lord, Thursday, April 28, 2022. Catholic Rosary will be at 6 p.m., Monday, May 2, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Andover. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Andover.
A total caregiver who always put others before herself, Pattie was the first person to call family members on birthdays and other special occasions. Her dedication to her family and friends was unwavering. When it came to laughter, her laugh and smile could light up a room and her sense of humor was unlike any other. She will be remembered for her love of life and always putting the care and concern of others before herself. She will also be remembered for her late night QVC shopping antics, addiction to Kohls shopping, and peppernut and Christmas candy making, which she has passed on to the rest of family. Everyone Pattie met is better because of her life, laughter and love.
Pattie is survived by her husband Donald, daughter Ashley McCullough (Misty Ellis) of Wichita, sister Linda Wells of Andover, brother Phil Walkup (Rachel) of Valley Center; five nephews and three nieces, along with numerous great nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother, Ruth (Amos) White; father, Berle (Arvada) Walkup.
A memorial has been established with Wichita State University Softball Program. Downing & Lahey Mortuary – East Chapel.
Goodnight, and Godspeed Pattie. No more physical issues and pain. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us, and me, and the wonderful Hilltop Manor memories of our youth, and beyond. Unforgettable. My dear Pattie, you were a kind, caring and loving soul that will be dearly missed, and lovingly remembered. Again, unforgettable. My deepest sympathies to Pattie’s family, friends and loved ones.

Saddened to read of Pattie’s passing. We had worked together in the 1980s at Stifel Nicholas in the cage. I was her backup wire operator. I always enjoyed being around her and would think of her from time to time as the years went by and we were no longer in touch. May God’s blessings be with your family. Phyllis W.
Growing up in Hilltop was made more exciting and fun because of Patty and her never-ending laughter. I know she will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace
