Ely, Patti, 52, medical administrative assistant, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. The rosary will be at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, February 13, with the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 14, both at Church of the Magdalen. Patti was raised in Mulvane, KS. Preceded in death by mother, Erika (Voith) Patton. Survivors: husband, Jim; children, Emily Holland (Mike), Jefferson Ely and Rachael Ely, all of Wichita; father, Carl Patton (Wyola) of Wichita, siblings, Sylvia Ward of Mulvane, Andrew Patton Wichita, Angela Sagely of Derby, KS and Jackie Patton of Plant City, FL; grandson, Joseph Holland. Memorials to: Via Christi Rehab Hospital, c/o Via Christi Foundation, 723 N. McLean, S-310, Wichita, KS, 67203. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

I worked with Patti at Wesley in the 1980’s. She was so very kind and helpful to me and she was a good friend. I have not seen her in years, but always remember how smart she was and how friendly and good to me. I am sorry. I did not know she was ill. To her family ~ lean on your precious memories to help you heal.
Patti was a wonderful person, wife and mom. We really enjoyed going to the basketball games when the girls were playing MAYB with Patti in the stands cheering them on. She was such a sweet and kind person and will be greatly missed.
Patti will be greatly missed by our family. We loved to see her at the family reunions where we had so much fun. Her strengh, courage and great love for her family will be remembered by all of us. Love you Patti Gal
