Van Hoozer, Paul J., 87, retired salesman for Greyhound Armour Co., died Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Service 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 6, Countryside Christian Church. Preceded in death by first wife, Betty Van Hoozer, brothers, Dean, Hugh, Lee and Clair Van Hoozer and sister Elizabeth Forney. Survivors: wife, Dorothy (Wall) Van Hoozer; step-son, Gary Wall of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Kathi Sartin of Towanda, KS; step-grandchildren, Sara Sartin, Brian Sartin, Laura Wall and Lindsay Wall; sister, Naomi Richardson of Eagleville, MO. A memorial has been established with Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Rock, Wichita, KS, 67207. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
We have wonderful memories of Paul. He has been apart of our lives for 60 years. We met him through our parents/grandparents Jack and Etta Brown. I can always remember the movies that they were taking of every holiday and special dinner we had. We loved his wonderful sense of humor and his smile. We were lucky to have him in our lives over the many, many years. He was a special friend to us all. He was blessed in his life in many ways. Paul, we will miss you and our memories will always remain close in our hearts. To Dorothy and Paul’s family, we will pray for you during this time of saddness and reflection. May god bless you all. Although we are unable to attend Paul’s service we will be there in spirit.
