Paul Meier

Paul Meier, 86, retired after 40 years from Cessna as a tool and die maker, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. Paul was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1948-1952 and was a member of the Chosin Few. He was loved by all who knew him and lovingly known as "Pig Pig" and "Rubber Duck". He loved boating and fishing, but spending time with his family was the most important to him. Memorial service, 1 p.m., Friday, July 14, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Amelia Meier; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors: wife, Patricia “Pat”; daughters, Tammy (Anthony) Rey, Carla (Michael) Tyrrell; son, Michael Meier; grandchildren, Kris (Heather), Derek, Ryan (Danielle), Destiny, Shana (Guy), Tim (Magaly), Jason (Christi); 19 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial established with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
