  1. Paul delighted in sharing his sense of humor (he and Bro Jim would entangle young nieces and nephews between the two of them for the much dreaded and hated “Uncle Hug). So quite naturally, humor was reciprocated back to him if ya know what I mean! Years ago, we, his siblings, decided we were going to gift Paul with a “Dean Martin style” Roast during one of our family camps. Did we ever have a lot of fun with that!! We each gathered up a variety of gag gifts and individually presented those and, of course, a corresponding roast: A river of bull**** flowed deeper than Tablerock Lake for hours that night!!! The first part of the “gifts” I gave him was a banana – the reason being what he had told me when I was a small girl, 5 or 6 years old, after I had eaten a banana – that invisible poisenous worms grow on the inside of the banana peel. Easy to imagine what a devastating effect that had on a young girl right?! The second part of my gag gift, wrapped up very attractively, was a generous portion of dried cow patty – and you can also quite easily imagine what I might have said along with that!! Gosh, we all shared such belly laughter, what a party! Thank you Dean Martin for introducing “Roasting” and thank you, Best Oldest Bro Paul for your love of humor!
