Guestbook

  1. Three years ago I moved back to wichita and started attending church with my parents. To my surprise Peggy was sitting in the row in front of me. Wow my fourth grade teacher. I loved the quite times during that year and she read us all kinds of books. I think thats when I really started to love reading. Thanks Peggy. We will miss you.

  2. I have especially appreciated the encouraging notes Peggy sent me this past year in relationship to my work as a home missionary. She was always a strong supporter of missions. May the Lord bless and comfort all of you during this time.

  3. I did not have a good year in the fifth grade at Arkansas Avenue grade school in 1963. That summer my family went on a vacation to Colorado. We went to Vail and rode the gondola to the top. My mom recognized Mrs. Periman and said hello to her at the top of Vail mountain! As it turned out she was to be my 6th grade teacher and school was to start in a few weeks. Mrs. Periman made that school year really special and reignited my love of school. She has always held a spot in my heart as one of my best teachers. I went into education because of the teachers I had. Thanks Mrs. Periman.

  4. Words alone cannot express my sincerest sympathy for your loss. I hope that your family can find some comfort knowing that she enriched the lives of many students at Arkansas Avenue Elementary. She was my favorite teacher and I believe that my love of reading is because of her. I often thought of her through the years and wondered how she was doing. She is in the Kingdom of Heaven and will never be forgotten. Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15
