Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Patti (and family) I was sorry to read about the loss of your brother. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Time, faith, and the love of family and friends will help. Just remember the good times and do a lot of talking.
My best wishes to all the family. Really sad to hear about Pete. Thirty years ago it didn’t seem like anything could happen to any of us. I know many happy memories have come back to many people recently involving Pete. Thankfully memories last a long time.
Patty and Family, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Even though we have lost touch for many years, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I am so sorry to hear about Peter’s death. I met him while he was a patient at Via Christi St. Joseph. I truly enjoyed talking with him & hearing his stories. We talked about lawn mowers and the different types. He talked about his job and how sad he was that he wasn’t going to be able to go back to work. In the short time that I knew him – he made an impression on me – as a good natured – simple man – who found enjoyment in life, even though he struggled. He is now at peace.
Sorry I am late. Pete was the best little boy to play with a guy could ever have. He was always happy and ready to go any where for fun. It happens that Chuck Christy was at my home for the weekend and I did not read the paper for the days that the obituary was posted. We were at Mike Millers house on Saturday night the 31st of March. When ever we are together we talk about our old neighborhood. Mike got the news about Pete just this weekend and we are all sorry we did not get to visit him during his illness. It would have been tough to see him, but if we had known, I am sure we would have done so. 5/6/07 Barry Wood, Denise Burkholder, Mike Miller, Chuck Christy, Silvia Ziggler
I grew up with Pete. I lived just down the street. Went to school with him all the way through Heights. Saw him at our 30th reunion back in Oct. He had mentioned his health problems and that life was short. Had a really good visit with him. Pete was always easy going and willing to help with any thing he could. He had a great knack for small engines even as a kid. I remember having so much fun with his go-karts. He was always willing to let me ride. Pete had alot of friends in the neighborhood. He was a fixture there. I was saddened to hear of his death. My heart goes out to the family. I only knew him and Patty, and Mom. I used to be the paperboy and Mom treated me well. Had a crush on Patty too! As I get older, I remember my childhood and the people who made it so rich, more often. Pete made me rich. I will still remember him with fondness. Steve Bunton
Peter J. was my cousin, While attending school in Nebraska, I drove to Wichita and met him in 1972. Although he was only 14 at the time, I recall that he was engaging, energetic and optimistic. I wish that I had spent more time with him.
