Philip A. Bogner, 59, of Wichita, KS, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at his home. Born in Berea, he grew up in North Ridgeville, Ohio and attended Saint Peter’s Grade School and North Ridgeville High School (Class of 1981). He was president of Theta Chi fraternity and graduated from The Ohio State University. His career as a sales executive took him around the world. During the past five years he worked for General Mills in Wichita, KS. Phil was a member of Church of the Magdalen, Wichita, where he often could be found in Eucharist Adoration. Phil enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events, golfing, playing basketball, running, and cheering on his beloved Buckeyes. He is survived by his greatest joys in life, son Michael of San Angelo, TX and daughter, Brecken of Wichita. Also left to cherish his memory are his parents, Harold and Kathy Bogner of N. Ridgeville, Ohio, sisters, Dr. Jennifer (Dr. Patrick Drumm) Bogner of Carroll, Ohio, Diane (Tom) Triplett of Estero, FL, brother, David (Mary Beth) Bogner of N. Ridgeville, niece, Samantha (Ben Weathers) Bogner and nephew, Nicholas Bogner. Viewing will be Sunday, August 21, from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Monday, August 22, from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Visitation with family will be Tuesday, August 23, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am; Mass will be follow at 11:00 am, both at Church of the Magdalen, 12626 E 21st St N, Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 am, Saturday August 27, 2022, at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville where the family will receive friends for an hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions are suggested to Church of the Magdalen or charity of the donor's choice.
