Philipp E. Ring

Philipp E. Ring, 88, passed away Friday November 10, 2017 in the Harry Hynes Hospice Center, Wichita, Kansas. On August 21, 1948, Phillip was united in marriage to Ladonna Berry at Hardtner, Kansas. During their early years they moved to Wichita, Kansas where he worked at Boeing as an electrical planner and raised their family. His heart, however, was always at the farm and he did move back in 1974 to the family farm just north of Alva, Oklahoma. There he worked for Woods County with heavy machinery until his retirement. In 2011 due to illness, they returned to Wichita, Kansas where he lived out the remainder of his life with family. Rosary will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday November 18, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alva, OK. Graveside services immediately following. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antone and Rose Ring; wife, Ladonna Ring; sons, Anthony Ring, George Eldon Ring; grandson, Aaron Ring. He is survived by his daughters, Anita (James) Craddock, Catherine Miller Ring, both of Wichita; son, Leo (Kim) Ring of Eureka, KS; sister, Zita Getz; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Alva, OK 627 12th St., Alva, OK, 73717; and Senior Services of Wichita 200 S. Walnut St., Wichita, KS, 67213.
