Little, Phillip A., 82, property manager and Bankers Life and Casualty insurance agent, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M., Friday, July 31, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Service 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 1, First Presbyterian Church. Graveside service 1:30 P.M., Saturday, Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. Phil graduated from Wichita East High in 1945 and from Wichita University with a Business degree in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy and was in the Civil Air Patrol for 12 years, serving as a Commanding Officer for 6 years. Phil was a faithful servant and a life-long member of First Presbyterian, where he also served as an usher and elder. He was a Mason with the Albert Pike Lodge for 61 years. He belonged to the Sons of the American Revolution, the National Rifle Association, as well as the Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society. Phil had a love for flying, woodworking, genealogy, leather crafting, hunting, camping and hiking in Colorado. Survivors: wife, Doris Lorena (Wohlgemuth) Little; sons, Kent Little (Suzanne) of Los Angeles and Douglas Little (Jackie) of Wichita; daughter, Joyce Marie Little (Alun Hughes) of Thorold, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Jennifer Little, Mark Little, Nia Hughes and Ffion Hughes. A memorial has been established with First Presbyterian Church, 525 N. Broadway, Wichita, 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M., Friday, July 31, Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
