Randle Jr.; brother, Don Smith, his wife Elaine, and their son Bruce, of Oakley, Kansas.Phyllis had remarkable career opportunities wherever she and Bob lived in Kansas. She was Society Writer for the Colby Free Press. In Herington, Secretary to Superintendent of Schools for USD 487. Additionally, they were both avid gardeners, taking pride in the apartment’s landscaping by planting unique flowers, shrubs, and trees. Their passion for gardening included their involvement with Wichita’s Project Beauty and Kansas State Research and Extension Service’s Master Gardeners Program, both earning Master Gardener Certificates for both trees and shrubs.Phyllis was a wonderful mother to her son Steve, his wife Jan and grandmother to their daughters, Ariella Randle Rogge (Matt) of Green Mountain Falls, CO, and Schehera Randle McKasson (Jeff) of Mission Veijo, CA. 1. A wonderful woman she was. Please note that I remember her well. I thank God for her life and that of her descendants. Sincerely, from Tricia H

  2. Steve & Jan,
We are so sorry for the loss of your mom. I have many good memories of Phyllis and Bob. They were the hardest working people I have ever known. And they could do everything! Phyllis always made sure I had a mowing job every summer through out high school and college with USD 259. I also remember she helped my mother obtain a school secretary position. We all have been blessed with wonderful parents. They definitely were the “Greatest Generation” and we miss them.
    Warm regards,
    Buz & Katie
